IBI Award Ceremony 2020

At the IBI awards ceremony on 11 November at the Institute for Construction and Infrastructure Management, ETH Zurich's "Bau- und Infrastruktur-Förderungspreis" and the Helbling Prize were awarded to students for their excellent Master's theses.

The BI-Förderungspreis has been awarded to:

  • Jennifer Furrer for her master thesis “Robustness of renovation scenarios according to the passive house standard” – Sustainable Construction
  • Gérald Huber for his master thesis “Datenbasierte Verfallskurven für Stützbauwerke» - Infrastructure Management
  • Gabriel Rodriguez Garcia for his master thesis “Decision Support System for an Intelligent Operator of Utility Tunnel Boring Machines”  Intelligent Maintenance Systems
  • Silvio Schurtenberger for his master thesis “Seebahnpark – Wiedikon Zürich, Überdeckung des Bahneinschnitts mit einer Verbundkonstruktion” – Construction and Infrastructure Management
  • Tobias Schraner for his master thesis “Incentivizing complete data sets for digital twins in construction using blockchain: a feasibility study in the Swiss industry” – Innovative and Industrial Construction
